Paddle Out for Whales – August 4, 2019.

Torquay Jetty & Ernie Organ Park, Torquay | 9:30am – 1pm

Bring your SUP, kayak or paddle board along to celebrate and encourage whale conservation in Hervey Bay, the whale watch capital of the world. Creativity is encouraged and the more colourful and quirky the better!

Paddle out into the ocean for a minute silence to recognise the importance of the ocean and whales to the world, and particularly the Fraser Coast. Leandra Gurbiel will be sharing the sacred Aloha Mai E chant during the event to honour the whales and their significance to the region.

Enjoy free face painting for kids and live music by Frank Benn, Aloha Ohana Hula Na Wahine and SeaNic Sounds throughout the day. Plus check out the Torquay Markets which will be held in Ernie Organ Park during the event!

Register online today and receive a free tote and sunnies at the event, thanks to USC! To register, enter here.

You don’t have to paddle out, you just have to be there!

Concert – Entertainment

Come on down to Seafront Oval for the annual Whale Concert. This year’s program features fantastic entertainment for an evening of family fun!

The event kicks off at 4pm with kids activities, market stalls and amusement rides. Grab something tasty for dinner from one of our local food stalls and set out your picnic rug to enjoy the sweet sounds of Brothers in Groove.
