Paddle Out for Whales – August 2, 2020.
Torquay Jetty & Ernie Organ Park, Torquay | 8am – 11am
Bring your SUP, kayak or paddle board along to celebrate and encourage whale conservation in Hervey Bay, the whale watch capital of the world.
Paddle out into the ocean for a minute silence to recognise the importance of the ocean and whales to the world, and particularly the Fraser Coast. Leandra Gurbiel will be sharing the sacred Aloha Mai E chant during the event to honour the whales and their significance to the region.
Our events may look a little different this year. Providing fun and safe events for our community remains FCTE’s top priority, and we need your help! To ensure our events remain COVID-free, please adhere to the additional public health safety measures put in place.
Please do not attend the event if:
· You are unwell
· You have been in close contact with a positive COVID-19 person
· You are a positive COVID-19 case
· You have travelled from a declared COVID-19 hotspot or have returned to Australia in the last 14 days
