Launching during Whale Festival weekend at Hervey Bay Regional Gallery

Hervey Bay Regional Gallery is launching Sammy Hawker’s Sound Forms: Whale Song during the Hervey Bay Whale Festival weekend.

Canberra artist, Sammy Hawker, brings whale song to life through art and science. Using water, sound and vibration, the exhibition transforms whale recordings into mesmerising visual forms.

The launch will take place alongside two additional exhibitions at the Gallery: Matters of Time and Regional Spotlight.

As part of the Whale Festival weekend, Hervey Bay Regional Gallery will also host a morning of talks and other programs on Saturday 29 August.
