Seafront Celebrations

A Magical Day & Night for the Whole Family!

Seafront Celebrations promises to be a magical day for the whole family, with live music, lantern and kite-making workshops and other activities and entertainment.

There will be market stalls and food trucks on the oval, Fun Time Amusement carnival rides, a Whale Festival Passport Challenge thanks to K'gari Salty Safaris, inflatable rides from Wide Bay Mobile Entertainment, face painting and much more.

The day will kick off at 2pm and culminate with a dazzling fireworks display in the early evening, with the event wrapping up at 8pm.

Dive into a sea of light and imagination as this year's Tasman Holiday Parks Parade of Lights celebrates Magical Migration! Inspired by the incredible journey of the humpback whales to Hervey Bay, we invite everyone to become part of the spectacle by dressing up in glowing ocean-themed costumes. Think sparkling jellyfish, radiant whales, dazzling sea turtles, shimmering schools of fish, mystical mermaids, and creatures from the deep!

Start at home with our easy-to-follow How-To Guide & Inspiration Sheet – perfect for creators of all ages and skill levels.

Not a crafty expert? No worries! Join our fun-filled "Make Your Own Lantern" Workshop at the City Park Festivities. We'll provide everything you need to bring your lantern to life before the parade begins.

Then, as twilight falls, take your place in the glowing procession down Main Street – a magical moment where your lantern becomes part of a shimmering sea of light and imagination.

Light up the night, unleash your creativity, and join a glowing parade of ocean magic as we celebrate the wonder of whale season.
